Madison residents can sign up to receive text and e-mail alerts whenever there a snow emergency is declared by going to www.cityofmadison.com/winter When you register you will receive alerts as soon as the Streets Division declares a snow emergency. "This is the faster way for people to find out about snow emergencies and where to park," Streets Division spokesperson George Dreckmann said. "With a major storm on the horizon, now is the time to register for these alerts." You can also register to receive a plowing update e-mail that will give you details on what the Streets Division is planning to do whenever it snows.
