No Refuse or Recycling Collection on Monday January 18th
Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday
There will be no refuse or recycling collection on Monday January 18th because of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Residents who normally have their refuse and recycling collected on Monday will have their material collected on Tuesday January 19th. On Tuesday January 19th the Streets Division will be collecting refuse from residents in both the Monday and Tuesday refuse collection districts. It is important that residents have their material out on time, which is 6:00 a.m. on the East side and 7:00 a.m. on the West side. Because of the short collection week, large item service will be reduced the week of January 19th. Residents are asked to hold their large items until their next scheduled collection if possible. The Streets Division's offices and self help drop off sites will also be closed on the 18th. The final round of Christmas Tree collection will start on Tuesday January 19th. Residents should have their trees out at the curb for collection by 7 a.m. on the 19th to insure collection during this final round. Additional information on all of Madison's solid waste and recycling services are available on the Streets Division's web site at www.cityofmadison.com/streets or by calling 246-4532 (East) and 266-4681(West).
