Exchange users made over 3,800 successful exchanges that kept 407,101 pounds of material out of the landfill. That saved taxpayers $6,392 in landfill fees. "We are very pleased with the public's response to the Exchange," Dreckmann said. "We are looking forward to another great year in 2009."
