No Wood Mulch at Warner Park Due to Construction
Mulch Available at 3 Other Locations
The Streets Division will not be supplying wood mulch for the public at the Warner Park site for the remainder of the season. "There will be no more wood mulch at Warner Park this season," Madison recycling coordinator George Dreckmann said. "In addition to the major construction taking place on N. Sherman Av, the Warner Park parking lot is being resurfaced this fall." Wood mulch will still be available to the public at three locations, in addition to the brush processing site. The public can get free wood mulch at the following locations, East Side Sycamore Park (Across the street from our facility at 4602 Sycamore Av.) West Side Garner Park (On Rosa Rd. just off Mineral Point Rd.) Elver Park (In the parking lot just off McKenna Blvd.) The Street Division tries to keep these sites stocked with wood mulch. However, we cannot guarantee that mulch will be available at all times. If there is no mulch available, you can check another site or try back on another date. It is possible to have large amounts of wood mulch loaded into your truck at our processing center at 121 E. Olin Av. The facility is open M-F from 7:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Please call 266-4911 prior to coming to the site. Wood mulch will be available at Warner Park again next spring.
